Impressive showing by the US men's gymnastics team!!
Although, I was hoping they could pull off a silver medal. Probably could have pulled it off if it weren't for the 2 poor pommel horse scores! Still an excellent job though. Better than expected! ::. Jeneka. .:: |

I completely agree. Jon Horton was just amazing and amazingly solid on everything I saw him do last night. But wasn't Alexander Artemov's pommel
gorgeous?? I missed the qualifying team round where they also qualify for the individual's, do we have anyone going for the all around on the men's
side?

Yes, Jon Horton definitely was sticking everything last night. And, Alexander Artemov's pommel horse was AMAZING!! I was holding my breath the ENTIRE time!

Um, can we talk about the fact that:
1) a lot of the fireworks in the opening ceremonies were actually pre-recorded, digitally enhanced, and then inserted into the broadcast, and 2) the little girl who sang the Chinese national anthem was just lip-synching to the REAL singer's rendition---the real singer was told she was "unsuitable" for the job because of her buck teeth! Is nothing in this Olympics real? China sure is creating a masterpiece!

did anyone catch the us women's soccer this AM? i was late to work because i wanted to watch the entire first half! 4-0 win! woooot! the women's team final starts tonight at 10:30 EST right? AHHH i think i have to DVR it. i've been up until 1 AM every night this week...damn 12 hour time difference! |

He won it...and broke the world record. But he wanted a better time...so he was pissed. Ha ha. Only time I've ever seen an athlete win a medal, set a
record and still be mad at himself.

Michael Phelps is not human I've decided. Damn that boy can swim.
They gymnasts blew it hardcore. Still love 'em though! Oh, and you can't convince me those Chinese gymnasts are 15. No way. They look more like 9 or 10. MAYBE 12. Is anyone else annoyed by the woman that does commentary for the diving? She gets on my last nerve.

Jennifer.....I couldn't agree more about the lady doing to the diving commentary. I finally had to put her on mute because she was driving me nuts.
I have been totally useless at work all week because of the Olympics. The swimming has been crazy good. Now if Katie Hoff could just win a race I'd be an even happier swimming fan.
